Telehealth Consent
Last updated: April 2026
1. What Is Telehealth?
Telehealth involves the delivery of healthcare services using electronic communications, information technology, and other means between a healthcare provider and a patient who are not in the same physical location. VigoréMD provides telehealth services through asynchronous consultations, meaning your licensed physician reviews your submitted health information and responds without a live video or phone appointment.
2. How Our Telehealth Services Work
When you submit your health assessment through VigoréMD:
- A licensed, board-certified physician reviews your health information and medical history
- Your physician makes an independent clinical determination regarding your eligibility for GLP-1 therapy
- If approved, your physician issues a patient-specific prescription for a compounded medication
- Your prescription is fulfilled by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy and shipped to your address
- Your physician remains available for follow-up questions through your patient portal
3. Benefits of Telehealth
- Improved access to healthcare services without requiring in-person visits
- Convenience of receiving care from your home or any location
- Efficient communication with licensed healthcare providers
- Reduced time and cost associated with traditional in-person appointments
4. Risks and Limitations of Telehealth
You understand and acknowledge the following limitations of telehealth services:
- Telehealth consultations are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately
- Technical difficulties may occasionally delay communications between you and your provider
- Your provider cannot perform a physical examination, which may limit their ability to evaluate certain conditions
- Telehealth may not be appropriate for all medical conditions or situations
5. Privacy and Confidentiality
Your health information is protected under HIPAA and applicable state privacy laws. VigoréMD implements industry-standard security measures to protect your health information during transmission and storage. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details on how your information is collected, used, and protected.
6. State-Specific Requirements
Telehealth laws vary by state. VigoréMD operates in compliance with applicable telehealth regulations in each state where services are provided. Services may not be available in all states. Your physician is licensed in the state where you receive services.
7. Your Rights
By using VigoréMD's telehealth services, you acknowledge that:
- You have the right to refuse telehealth services at any time without affecting your access to future care
- You have the right to request an in-person evaluation with a local provider at any time
- All health information shared through our platform is used solely for the purpose of providing your care
